This is a temporary cosmetic makeover until we are able to do my dream renovation in the future. We'll be using lots of chalk paint to "upcycle" various pieces, accessories, and floors. "Shiplap" will be used in several rooms to add interest. BTW-we were using shiplap before Chip and Joanna made it so popular on FIxer Upper, LOL. We used it in several rooms back in 2008 when we renovated Cobbler Cottage. (see my other blog-"Home Renovation-Watch The Progress")
We weren't really expecting to do anything until spring, but since the weather has been so nice, we were able to take the plants outside and get a little done in the sunroom.
I've also added some accessories and moved the furniture around a bit in the family room since the last time I posted
I found some ottomans in a matching fabric for the living room. Bonus...they come with throw pillows! SCORE!
Last but not least...I promise we really are working on the bedroom. As usual, it turned into a much bigger job than I originally thought, so progress is slow. I did get the fireplace whitewashed over the weekend and we got the new chandelier hung. We also added a ceiling fan, and put our signature trim on the ceiling. :)
